Program Assistant, Recruiting & Training (Temp to Hire Position)
The objective of the Program Assistant, Recruiting & Training is to provide critical operational support to all Recruiting & Training Department’s programs to enable the department to function at maximum efficiency. In this role, you will be taking ownership of administering our award-winning sales training program, while assisting administratively in on-campus and virtual recruiting initiatives. The Program Assistant should possess the ability to quickly learn the current process and have a critical eye in improving program management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a master communicator, exceptionally organized, detail oriented, and an administrative wizard. You thrive in fast-paced and collaborative environments, while possessing a certain level of autonomy and resourcefulness.
Please note this is not a remote position. This role is based out of our Phoenix office and does not require travel.
Temp to Hire Position
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Recruiting & Training Manager to organize and administer both the summer and year-round version of Matthews™ University, the company’s award-winning training program.
- Grade trainees’ quizzes and final exams within the training program.
- Assist in the development of new training program curriculum.
- Add job aides and new training material to the Knowledge Base, the company’s internal online library of training material, including editing and uploading new recordings as needed.
- Coordinate national trainings across 14 offices via Microsoft Teams on an adhoc basis.
- Assist in the strategic planning and coordinating of on-campus and virtual recruiting events for seasonal sales interns and full-time sales associates, while building Matthews’ on-campus brand.
- Coordinate the shipping logistics of all campus event collateral, including both branded materials and marketing materials.
- Assist department with planning and execution of social activities for recruiting and pre-onboarding events (i.e. happy hours, lunch & learns, summer training orientation, etc.).
- Other duties as they arise from the Recruiting & Training Manager.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Ideal candidate has 1+ years of experience working in learning and development, or in an administrative capacity at a fast-paced start up environment.
- Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Must have strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Ideal candidate will be a highly effective communicator, with the professionalism and business acumen that is necessary to interact with all levels of people within the organization.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignment simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience with Salesforce, Google Classrooms, Google Sites and/or Handshake is a plus.
