Matthews Agents Represent Landlord in 10-Year Lease

Los Angeles, CA – Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, represented the landlord in the lease of 11130A Balboa Blvd, Granada Hills, CA to the national grocer, Island Pacific Supermarket. The space is 17, 095 square feet, and located at the popular shopping destination, Balboa Mission Square. The transaction was brokered by Senior Associate Aditya Ramnath and Senior Vice President and National Director Michael Pakravan.

 

Balboa Mission Square is a Trader Joes-anchored center with several national tenants in the surrounding area such as Planet Fitness and Target. Matthews™ agents generated multiple offers for the lease, including offers from several established grocers. Ultimately, the client chose Island Pacific Supermarket due to its proven track record.

 

“We leveraged our national database, and our marketing campaigns to reach both national and regional grocers,” Ramnath said. “This created a competitive bidding war, accomplishing a great price for our client on the 10-year lease.”

 

Island Pacific Supermarket is a national Filipino American grocer, operating 17 stores across California and Nevada and headquartered in Walnut Creek, CA. The tenant was represented by Ryan M. Burnett and Geoff Martin of CBRE.

 

“Our client was wary of permitting delays many tenants have been experiencing, but Island Pacific has been on track from the start and is set to open in the next few months,” Pakravan said.
