Transaction Brings Flagship Philz Coffee Location to Thousand Oaks

Los Angeles, CA– Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, brokered the lease of a Philz Coffee shop located in prominent shopping center, Village at Moorpark, located just off the Ventura Freeway in Los Angeles, at 33 North Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks, CA. The deal was brokered by Senior Associate Aditya Ramnath.

 

The opening marks Philz Coffee’s first location in Thousand Oaks. Philz Coffee was founded in San Francisco, CA in 2003, gaining popularity for its made-to-order custom-blend beverages and coffee subscription service. The company has accumulated 70 locations including major cities such as Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, and the D.C. Metro. Philz Coffee is a venture-capital backed company.

 

“We are very excited for them to open this flagship location in Thousand Oaks,” Ramnath said. “The plan is to expand in the San Fernando Valley with additional locations over the next few years.”

 

The shopping center is over 44,000 square feet and is owned by the prominent real-estate developer, Rick Caruso. Notable properties in his portfolio include The Grove, The Commons at Calabasas, and Waterside at Marina Del Ray.

The coffee shop also offers tech-savvy and convenient services such as mobile ordering, and curbside pick-up to cater to emerging customer trends.
