Agents Generated 20+ Offers in Quick-Close Transaction

Cathedral City, CAMatthews Real Estate Investment Services, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, recently completed the all-cash quick-close sale of a vacant big-box store in a prominent shopping location in Cathedral City, CA. Market Leader Andrew Gross and Senior Associate Lee Cordova represented the seller in the transaction.

The Cathedral City big-box asset spans over 80,000 square feet and is located at 35900 Date Palm Drive. Matthews™ utilized its extensive database, paired with email and social media marketing, to generate over 20 offers and close in just 25 days. The property’s seller was looking to cash out on its investment and build its portfolio in other sectors across the country.

“Our extensive Matthews™ database gave us an upper hand in getting the word out about this listing,” said Cordova. “We were able to generate many qualified offers, with a majority above ask.”

The retail space sits on a 262,000 square foot lot near an Amazon, gym facility, and U.S. Bank adding external value to the property.

“The seller wanted to pursue investments in other commercial sectors, and the buyer was eager to acquire an asset that fit their redevelopment plans, making this a win-win for both parties,” said Gross.
