Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) has consistently ranked for top place to work, live, and the best place for investment prospects, according to Bloomberg Businessweek, Forbes, Fortune, and Site Selection magazine. It is a top region for business due to the low cost of living, a business-friendly environment, and a strong network of well-educated and skilled employees. The metro welcomed 118,100 new residents in 2020, more than any other metro in the nation. Employment growth is expected to outperform over the next five years. DFW is among the top areas for apartment leasing and deliveries, and renters continue to absorb new supply coming to the market. The multifamily market has performed better than most markets and stands as a leader in sales volume through 2021.
