Matthews™ Brokers Off-Market Sale of Tesla Locations

Matthews™ Brokers Off-Market Sale of Tesla Locations featured image

Austin, TXMatthews Real Estate Investment Services, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, brokered the sale of three Tesla properties for in Austin, TX, Orlando, FL, and Raleigh, NC. Matthews™ Executive Vice President, Chad Kurz, completed the sale.

 

Matthews™ represented the buyer in both transactions, closing the Austin location for $14.8M. This Tesla functions as both a Tesla Gallery and service center.

 

“Tesla has a market cap greater than Walmart, Home Depot, CVS, & Walgreens combined”, Kurz said. “Tesla’s annual rent increases are rare in the net lease space, and these assets are located in some of the best markets in the country.”

 

Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, announced this Fall that Tesla would be moving its headquarters from Palo Alto, CA to Austin, TX. The carmaker is currently building a $1.1 billion manufacturing complex plotted on a 2,100-acre site. Tesla is just one of many Fortune 500 companies fleeing California in search of more business-friendly states, such as Texas and Florida.

 

Matthews™ closed the Orlando Tesla for $10.8M. The location serves as a Tesla collision center, surrounded by various retail destinations and attractions driving consumer visibility.

 

The North Carolina Tesla is positioned on one of downtown Raleigh’s busiest streets, Glenwood Avenue. The location closed for $13.3M and functions as both a Tesla store and service center.
