Mansfield, TX — Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™ recently sold a Walmart shadow-anchored center located in Mansfield (Dallas/Fort Worth), Texas. Scott Henard, SVP and Regional Director for the Matthews™ Shopping Center Division, and Peter Smelko, Associate, led the transaction on behalf of the seller, Haydn Cutler Company. The 27,792 square-foot property was sold to a private client buyer represented by Tim Axilrod and Tommy Tucker with Shop Companies.

Mansfield Commons is located on the Southwest corner of Highway 287 and North Walnut Creek Drive, and positioned on the South end of a dense retail corridor off the main arterial highway that runs through the South side of the metroplex. The center consists of a mix of national and local tenants including Goodwill, CiCi’s Pizza, Ace Cash Express, Metro PCS, North Texas Urgent Care, and many others. National tenants in the immediate surrounding area include Walmart, Tom Thumb, The Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Ross, Sam’s Club, and Bed Bath and Beyond.

Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™ was able to conduct a seamless transaction and close within 30 days of formally going under contract with the first buyer selected. “We received multiple offers within the first week of marketing the asset and ultimately closed with a buyer who owned similar properties,” said Henard. “There were a few challenges to overcome during the transaction, but we were able to resolve them quickly and efficiently to keep the process moving forward in order to meet the buyer’s quick timeline requirement,” continued Henard.
