Matthews™ Completes Acquisition of Four-Property Storelocal Storage Portfolio

Nashville, TN— Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, completed the acquisition of a four-property Storelocal Storage portfolio in a 1031 Exchange. Senior Associate Shane Avera, Market Leader Maxx Bauman, and Managing Director Bill Pedersen represented the buyer in the transaction.

 

The property was acquired by a private client of Matthews™, who achieved newly built, Class A, third-party managed facilities. The seller, Platinum Self Storage, was looking to relinquish the property and allocate capital to other investments.

 

“We were able to list our client’s first property, sell it, find a portfolio for them to purchase, and ultimately close the deal,” said Avera. “Our clients capitalized on achieving a property that will increase their cash flow in an income tax-free state.”

 

The properties are located across Tennessee, primarily in the Nashville MSA, in Franklin, Gallatin, and Springhill. Storelocal Storage is a cooperative of self-storage business owners across the country with over 50 locations.
