Historic Apartments Near Downtown Austin Sold

 

Austin, TX—Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, completed the sale of 1610 Enfield Rd, also known as Marsol Apartments. Associate Richard Waterhouse and Associate Vice President Tyler Marshall represented the seller.

 

The three-story apartment complex was built in 1972 and recently renovated, offering 22 spacious units. Marsol is conveniently situated two miles northwest of Downtown Austin in a residential area that features many historic homes.

 

“We were able to get the seller the best deal through a series of counteroffers and adding a seller’s extension to the contract to protect the 1031 timeline,” said Waterhouse.

 

The buyer, a local investor, had recently purchased another property in the same area, adding several 1970s assets to their portfolio. The buyer plans to further renovate the units.

 

The seller has an additional property listed in Austin as they are looking to exit the market, 519 Lightsey Rd. is an apartment complex located in East Austin.
