Matthews™ VP Named 2026 Private Equity and M&A Business Visionary by LA Times
LOS ANGELES, CA— Matthews™ Vice President of Corporate Advisory Services Aria Pournazarian has been recognized by the Los Angeles Times as a 2026 Private Equity and M&A Visionary.
The Los Angeles Times’ Private Equity & M&A Visionaries recognition highlights professionals making an impact across Southern California’s private equity and mergers and acquisitions landscape through leadership, strategic expertise, and significant contributions to the industry.
Pournazarian was recognized for his work advising business owners and financial sponsors on strategies to maximize the value of their real estate holdings. Since 2024, he has closed nearly $80 million in corporate advisory transactions, including sale-leasebacks and M&A-linked real estate assignments. Most recently, Pournazarian led a $17.275 million multi-state sale-leaseback involving seven industrial outdoor storage and retail properties, securing final pricing approximately 20% above the seller’s initial expectations.
Pournazarian has also completed sale-leaseback transactions for Nation’s Best and Musser Lumber in the $15 million to $20 million range, along with M&A-linked real estate assignments for Richwood Industries and FactoryMation. Before joining Matthews™ in 2023, he developed his transactional expertise at Marcus & Millichap and James Capital Advisors. Pournazarian is a member of ICSC and the Association for Corporate Growth’s Los Angeles Chapter.
