Matthew Wallace

Matthew Wallace is a real estate professional at Matthews™ specializing in the acquisition and disposition of seniors housing assets nationally. He works closely with clients to evaluate market conditions, identify opportunities, position assets strategically, and navigate each stage of the transaction process. With extensive experience across both brokerage and principal-side real estate, Matthew brings a well-rounded perspective and a deep understanding of the factors that drive investment decisions, asset performance, and long-term value.
Prior to returning his full focus to brokerage, Matthew held leadership roles at Matthews™, where he helped drive business development, recruiting, training, and market expansion initiatives. He also played an integral role in the growth and development of the firm’s Cleveland and Columbus offices and previously served as National Director of Shopping Centers.
Matthew’s experience also includes working for a publicly traded REIT and a private fund operator, giving him firsthand insight into ownership, operations, and investment strategy. He leverages this background to provide senior housing owners and investors with informed market guidance, strategic positioning, and disciplined transaction execution.
Before joining Matthews™, Matthew worked as the VP of Transactions for Chase Properties, a Cleveland-based private equity firm. During his tenure, he completed over $250M in transactions, built out a new company-wide asset management system, and helped expand the company’s institutional joint venture relationships. Prior to Chase Properties, Matthew led East Coast acquisitions and dispositions for DDR, a publicly traded REIT, where he completed over $1 billion in transaction volume during his tenure.
