Matthews™ Completes Sale of Atlanta MSA Self-Storage Facility

Atlanta, GA – Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, brokered the sale of an Extra Space Storage (managed) facility located at 5635 Atlanta Hwy, Alpharetta, GA. The transaction closed after a quick 47-day escrow. Senior Associate Austin McLeod handled the transaction.

 

Matthews™ represented the seller, CSC General Contractors, a local self-storage and industrial property developer. The seller initially built the facility in 2018 and was interested in selling to take advantage of the robust storage market.

 

“Our client’s goal was always to sell the property, so this market is ideal for their business plan to dispose of the facility and focus on new projects,” McLeod said. “The self-storage industry has been performing extremely well throughout the Southeast specifically in the Atlanta MSA, making it a very favorable time in the market to sell.”

“This was a stabilized facility located in a high-income, high-growth sub-market of the Atlanta MSA, making it a perfect fit for the buyer,” McLeod said. “The buyer received a Class-A asset in a great area, while our seller received an all-cash offer and a seamless, timely close.”
