Matthews™ Executes Third Self-Storage Disposition for Repeat Georgia Client

ATLANTA, GA—Matthews™, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, represented the seller in the sale of Monroe Self Storage, located at 1110 North Broad Street in Monroe, Georgia. Senior Vice President & Director Austin McLeod facilitated the transaction.

The seller, a repeat Matthews™ client and private developer, pursued the disposition as part of a strategy to exit the market and recycle capital. McLeod leveraged his deep relationships within the sector to directly source an all-cash buyer, a REIT actively acquiring Class A self-storage assets at attractive bases. During due diligence, McLeod effectively navigated the property subdivision and easement negotiations, ultimately bringing the transaction to a successful close. The disposition marks the third asset McLeod has successfully closed for the seller this year.

Built in 2023, Monroe Self Storage features 89,875 net rentable square feet across 646 climate-controlled units. Located in the Walton County submarket, the facility is ideally positioned to support a growing residential base, with population and household growth projected to exceed 11% within a one-mile radius through 2030.*
