Augusta, GA— Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, completed the sale of “Hollywood Self Storage” spanning 64,645 rentable square feet on a 10.5 acre lot, offering climate, non-climate, and vehicle storage. The property is located at 2709 Gordon Highway, Augusta, GA. Vice President Austin McLeod represented the seller in the transaction.

 

The property, which was built just over a year ago, totals 490 rentable units with land to develop additional buildings. The seller, a private development company lead by Victoria Randolph based out of Evans, Georgia, had an existing relationship with Matthews™ and was looking to use the property as an upleg in a 1031 Exchange to grow their shopping center portfolio. The buyer, a top 20 self-storage owner-operator in the country, acquired the facility to break into the Augusta market.
